Non-clinical and technical staff provision can include on-site biomed, Radiotherapy and Radiology engineering teams, consumables stock controllers, administration and clerical staff, as well as other staff integral to the operation of healthcare facilities.
Non-clinical and technical support staff can be provided or transferred into an Asteral Select contract to deliver sustainable high-performing customer centric services.
All non-clinical and technical staff transfers will take place under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (TUPE) regulations, of which Asteral has a longstanding and successful experience. All staff provided by Asteral or transferred from the hospital will be included in Asteral’s continuous professional development procedure towards optimising service delivery and patient experience.
For example, as part of Asteral Select or Asteral Protect contracts, Asteral can TUPE a hospital’s on-site biomed staff providing them and the hospital with a range of benefits. We will take on performance risk through bespoke key performance indicators providing the Trust Board with surety and assurance that all equipment is being maintained in compliance with all applicable including CQC. We can also deliver a central equipment library function that manages the sharing of devices to increase availability and reduce the inventory.
On-site biomed engineers, like all non-clinical and technical staff that transfer to Asteral as part of a managed service programme, will receive additional training and professional development and the support of Asteral’s own engineering team and Clinical Governance Committee which benchmarks biomed provision.
Your Asteral Select contract can also include provisions for hard and soft facilities management staff.
