Asteral has been appointed by The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to provide maintenance for 16 items of Radiology equipment. Under the terms of the agreement the Trust will also have access to Asteral’s independent imaging evaluation team to support future procurement decisions.
The two-year Asteral Protect contract replaces the Trust’s previous maintenance agreements, consolidating them into a single arrangement to provide measurable cost and efficiency savings.
Asteral’s Protect service uses the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineers but manages maintenance calls via its own dedicated Response Desk, ensuring clinical staff have just one point of contact for all assets under management.
The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will also benefit from industry leading equipment uptime, detailed reporting on equipment performance and continued compliance with all relevant quality standards such as CQC, NHSLA, plus current publications of the MHRA and IPEM Report 95.
Christopher Langley, Asteral CEO says: “As the NHS evolves there is a genuine opportunity for Trusts to re-evaluate how they manage and maintain medical equipment. By bringing together existing maintenance contracts into a single arrangement, we are able to deliver significant cost savings while ensuring that clinical staff have access to more reliable and productive equipment.
